What Do You think This is? A Church Or...Oh....

Charity certainly doesn't begin at home at a cathedral where priests have banned beggars from their grounds.

Clerics put a sign saying "No Begging" on the door of the church in Sfantul Gheorghe, central Romania, after claiming they had been swamped by spongers.

Father Sebastian Parvu said: "We used to get scores of beggars hanging around outside every time there was a mass. It's not allowed anymore."

"It doesn't seem a very Christian thing to do. These people need help," said one parishioner.

Is this the place to start mentioning how much money the church has?

To be fair, the orders came from the very top...

The original was here.
