It's official: Russians are the world's worst tourists, beating the Germans to first place.

The "world's worst holidaymaker" poll, created by the Real Holiday Reports website, surveyed more than 1,000 Brits who went abroad this summer - to Spain, France, Cyprus, Malta, Italy, Turkey, Greece and Portugal. The majority (a whopping third of all votes cast) gave the flashy Russians - now dubbed "the new Germans" - the thumbs down, de-throning the Teutons from their long-term "least popular" perch.

According to the poll, Brits are now complaining that Russians hog those precious sun-loungers, eat "almost everything" at all-inclusives, belch, swear and dress like chavs. According to holiday expert Gary Hewitt, who runs the well-respected site: "We've been flooded with complaints about Russians. People commented that they are rude, flash their cash around and think they own the place."

Come on now... even scammers need to take a holiday!
