Jarvis Cocker has revealed his desire to have a chance to write a song for Eurovision.

The artist admitted his secret during an interview on FiveLive, following speculation that Morrissey has been appointed to pen Britain's entry for this year.

So will the moody Manc be ousted by the lanky lad from Sheffield or will it be another talentless, tone deaf, unknown, no-hoper?

Jarvis Trivia(not on the topic, just filling space):

While detained by the police following his protest during Michael Jackson's 1996 Brits performance, Jarvis was defended by Bob Mortimer.

Joe Cocker is a family friend but not related.
Another non-related cocker.

Lordi rocked!

And they were such nice boys, too.

30 seconds?? Lordi's winning entry last year wouldn't grow on me in 30 years. Just looking at them scared me enough to avert my eyes!

I could imagine it being really good, but only if he sang it himself. Getting some twinkly nineteen year old in to step up to the mike would be a disaster.

I have to own up to not being an expert on Mr Cocker's works but his latest single has grown on me. Unfortunately to win the ESC a song has to grow on you within the first 30 seconds.
